Menopausal Bi-Polar Witch Babbling

I response to a comment I received from Raych, I thought I should say something about my domesticity. I am generally domestically challenged. It's not that I can't clean and cook and throw together a party that would get the Martha Stewart thumbs up. I have a pretty good eye for decorating (my house at any rate). It is just that, 90% of the time, I don't do it. I HATE housework! I might still be rebelling from my 6 years in the Army. I had to keep everything spotless. I've been out of the military since 1986 and still dream of buffing floors and polishing brass occasionally. I think the real reason is, I have things to do that, to me, are more important than trying to keep my home magazine clean. I like the cluttered, dented, lived in feel of my home. I have been in homes that are so clean and sterile that I could not relax, I didn't stay long. It is important to me that friends and family feel welcome, relaxed, and comfortable in my home. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't have anything growing in the bathroom. I just have some clutter. I do, however, like to go all out when I have a party, or guests for dinner. I like to set out a spread that not only looks and tastes fab, but lets my guests know they are special to me. Even if we only have pizza, we use the dining room.
I blame my recent motivation on Fall! I don't know what it is about fall, but I just want to nest. So to all my domestically challenged cohorts, I send out and share my current domestic motivation and energy!
